When you think of a domestic air-carrier that provides economical rates, the name that flashes in your mind is Indigo Airlines. This is the largest low-cost airline in India presently. Headquartered in Gurgaon, the airline has its main hub at IGI Airport (Delhi) and the secondary hubs at CSIA (Mumbai) and NSCB International Airport (Kolkata).
The airline provides flight services to 36 domestic destinations. Its focus is on cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The airline operates approximately 459 flights on a daily basis and this has become possible because of the 75 Airbus aircraft (A320), which the airline owns.
Passengers prefer to travel with this famous airline due to the excellent customer service that it renders. These services include easy-to-navigate website, online ticket reservation, web check-in, flights that are always on-time, assistance for elderly and minors both on the flight and off-board (while at the airport) and of course, the interesting discount and offers that the airline keeps announcing from time to time.
From 2007, the airline has received several awards for being the best low-cost carrier. While the award was from APA of India in 2007, it was Galileo Express and CNBC award in 2008 and 2009 respectively. From 2010 to 2013, Skytrax gave the award to the airline for the best low-cost carrier.
Indigo airline has been in the aviation industry only from the last seven years, but its growth since its establishment has been tremendous. The airline is the best example to prove that if you render excellent services with punctuality, success follows you!
